TR 2 1953-1955 production: 8620 These little cars started winning Rallys right away in 1953. They gained respect from alot of people.
TR 3 1955-1967 production: 13,378 units. The TR 3 appeared in time to do battle with the MGA. Options included a tiny occational seat, a factory hardtop, overdrive on top 3 gears, along with the hardtop came exterior door handles. The car lost performance as refinements were added due to the extra weight. In 1956 it became the first mass produced car with front disc brakes.

TR 4 and 4A 1961-1964 & 1964-1968 production of 40,253 & 28465 units. Rebodied 3A styled by Michelotti, a foot longer and wider track improved the handling. A roomy and plush interior, the 'surrey' top was an option. Also available as an option was a 1991cc engine. The standared engine was the 2138 cc and could go 0-60 in 10.9 seconds. the 4A had independent rear suspension. Spitfire I & II 1962-1965 / 1965-1967 production of 45,753 & 37409 units. A 4 cylinder 1147 cc engine with options of wire wheels, hard top and overdrive. It came with front disc brakes with a top speed of 90 mph. It could do 0 - 60 in 16.5 seconds. The Mk II was better trimmed and did 0 - 60 in 15.5 seconds.
TR5/TR250 1967-1968 production of 2947 & 8484 units. 2.5 liter straight six engine was very adaptable to the new U S emission laws. TR 250 would do 0-60 mph in 10-6 seconds. 75% of total production of these cars came to the US. Servo brakes and radial tires were standard as were Rostyle wheels. (wire wheels were an option.) early version had Lucas fuel injection.
TR6 1969-1976 production of 94,619 units. Karmann designed body would do 0-60 om 8.2 seconds. Although the American version took 10.7 seconds to achieve 60 mph. A small front spoiler was added in 1973, and of course the big rubber bumpers in 1974
Spitfire III 1967 - 1970 production of 65,320 units. A new 1296 cc engine brought 0-60 times down to 13.6 seconds. A small steering wheel and wood facia interior, wind up windows and a permanantly attached hood were further refinements. This car consistantly outsold both Sprite and Midget combined. It was also the last Spitfire to have wire wheels as an option.
GT 6 1966 -1968 production of 15,818 units. straight six 2 liter engine 0-60 in 12 seconds. overdrive was an option. The heavier and longer Spitfire engine tended to upset the balance of the car. It was good for a top speed of 105 mph and could do 0 - 60 in 12 seconds.
GT6 MK II 1968 - 1970 production of 12,066 units. this car had a high front bumper and improved interior trim, and a revised rear suspension. Power was also increased with a top speed of 112 mph and 2 seconds shaved off the 0 - 60 time. Wire wheels and overdrive were options on this model.
Spitfire IV 1970 - 1974 production of 70,021 units. Revised styling front and rear and a new instrument layout. Slightly more refined but with added weight so some performance was lost, also due to the new US emission laws. Handling was better due to the revised rear suspension.
GT6 Mk III 1970 - 1973 production of 13,042 units Again the cars for the american market had lost power due to emission laws. The American version could only go 95 mph while the european version could do 112 mph.
